Question

Two questions:
     1. I have a '97 BMW 328I 6 cylinder sedan. Today, my mechanic changed the clockspring on the steering column and now the car will not start. He does not think he unplugged any wires relating to the ignition and he also disarmed the alarm system that might be prevented the car from starting. What could be other things we have overlooked to get the car started again...all lights and radio work fine.
     2. How do you change the transmission fluid on this car. There is no dipstick and we can't find any plugs on the pan. I have 174,000 miles on the car with the original oil. The tranny is starting to slip so I need to do something on that ASAP. Please advise.

Hello and welcome to Just Answer.

What do you mean by "he also disarmed the alarm system that might be prevented the car from starting"? Did he disconnect any modules or fuses? What exactly did he do?
