HI i was driving and went to change gear,wen i let the clutch out ther was a loud crunching noise and will not go into gear.have had no problems with clutch or gearbox before this happened.

See if you can put it in gear while not running. If you can then you have a clutch or cable failure.

yes i can put it in gear while not running,clutch pedal is working ok

Yep you have a clutch or cable problem. Try putting it in 2nd while not running and see if the clutch holds and gears keep you from rolling car. If you put it in 1 2 or 3rd and can still roll then clutch disc or pressure plate. If you can't roll it then your cable or push rod has either broke or slipped off. you will still feel like theres a clutch as long as cable goes to arm on trans. this is spring loaded so it will seem like its working.

when i put it in 1or 2nd it rolls a little bit with a clounking noise 3rd holds better.if this was clutch disc or pressure plate problem would it just go like that,i have had no problems changeing gear before with noise or cltuch sliping
