Question

my girlfriends 02 jetta 2.0, won't start not even crank over. i had the starter tested and its good, along with the battery, so i replaced the ignition switch and still nothing. fuses are good and i tested the lead plug that goes to the solenoid and when you turn the key on there is no power to that plug. so im outta ideas. could it be a relay or that wire could be bad, maybe nuetral safety switch. or something that happens alot with jetta?

Hi XXXXXXXXXX,

Check the battery cable ends REAL CLOSE for corrosion that gets deep inside the cable. Also, check for battery voltage at the starter solenoid.

Thanks for your question,
