Question

if I type nything into my IE address bar I am taken to a site called url-search.com. How can I stop this happening?

changing default search provider
clearing all temporary files cookies etc with ccleaner
searching registry and computer generally for references to url-search.com

Hi,

Sounds like you've been infected with Malware, try these steps:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Download that, install it, run it and update it

Then restart your computer, run it in safe mode (press F8 repeatedly before windows loads, select Safe Mode)

run that and do a full scan, remove anything it finds

then use winsock fix to reset your network adapter
