I am replacing my carpet floors in my home with bamboo floors. Does this qualify as a tax write-off

Hi and thanks for using JustAnswer.com. Bamboo flooring does not have insulating value- no energy credit. If you have a letter from your doctor prescribing the removal of carpet AND the replacement by hardwood floors, it becomes a medical expense you can enter on schedule A 1040.
