Question

2005 Volvo V70, 78,000 miles. Noise coming from from end (wheels) sounds like an airplane porpeller. Gets a little louder as you go faster, more intense if you turn a little to right side or go off an off ramp to right side, not as bad going to left side, but still there. Could this be hub assemblies?

Answer

yes you can have bad hub assembly or the drive axle to check it you will have to lift car in air and let other person drive while you listen what side makes the noise and than you can tell like that what is what area is noise .

Answer

you have all the signs of the classic front wheel hub/bearing assembly bad. also the fact that the noise gets louder while turning right says you have a left front bearing bad. axles would not cuae this. when turning right your putting more weight/load on the left wheel bearing and this is why it gets louder. if the noise was louder when turning left you would have a bad righ twheel bearing as you are placing more weight/load on the right side of the car. replace the left front hub and your noise will be gone.
