Question

I'm considering the purchase of a 1999 z3 with only 25,000 actual miles. Reliability information I've found says there's been problems with air intake on engines. Is this common and if so, what's typical expense involved.

Hi with such low milage should not have to many problems. Ck maint records. As it is based on time also. Brake fluid flush every 2 years
coolant flush every 4 years. Oil change at least 1 time a year. The problem is with the cyclone seperator. It is a problem in colder climates. Not sure what your climate is? The price for repair depends on if you dont catch the problem as it can blow a hole in the valve cover. Normal repair 300 to 400 with labor. Other than that just normal maint. Ck power steering line for leaks, ck frt control bushings. Other than that pretty good car. Thanks mike
