Question

hi again.... didnt know i needed a card on hand!!!!

problem: bmw 318i P reg auto ...key stuck in position 2
car wont Turn on!!!

short:
key position is stuck in position 2 , key can go in and out but WILL NOT turn to positon off or ignition..
i am guessing its in position 2 because the lights/fan (which is wired in directly to battery) come on

last night came home whipped key out too fast, think it was still in posittion 2,engine was still running,put key in car,wouldnt turn,engine wouldnt turn off,had to take out the fuse to the fuel pump + pull out wires to battery to stop car...
in the morning put back fuse and battery +(therefore fan on)... alarm went off.got in car-alarm stopped after 4 sec but key still won turn when put in ...
how do i get out of positon 2, how do i get the car to start,is key damaged or can i do something, is it immobilised?

plz note if your answer is go get a new key or key sytem / barrel or goto a bmw authorized xyz. i wont pay but i will say thankyou!
