Hi,
ok, you have a 2003 E46 325Ci. So long as you have replaced the rear pad sensor when the pads were replaced all you need to do is leave the ignition switched on in positition 2 (engine not running) for about 45 seconds and it will reset.

Was the brake pad sesnor replaced?
The pad sensor is damaged in the process of the pads wearing to thier limit so therefore must be replaced when the pads are replaced or the light will not reset. The pad sensor is installed on the rear right brake pads.
Your local dealer will have the sensors in stock and is definately the best place to get one as they are relatively inexpensive. If you can provide me with the last 7 digits of your VIN number I can look the part number up for you.
The pad sensor can be seen as number 12 in the diagram HERE and the part number is 34351164372.
