I have a problem with oil pressure on my 350 ci chevy motor, cold the motor will carry 75psi but at operating temp it will fall to 9psi .Ihave replaced the oil pump with high volume high pressure the pick up tube and screen are fine,does not smoke ,... use oil and compression are fine. i have allso tried straight weight 50 oil ,. does not help. when i changed the pump there was not a gaskit between the pump annd main cap. should ther be one ? i belive the motor to be mid 90. thank you rick

There is not a gasket that goes between the pump and the main cap. GM considers over 5 psi normal, even though you and I see it as low. You may have some worn cam bearings.
