Answer

It means the transfer case moduel has seen a problem-it will store a code that you can get read.You vehicle is known for bad transfer case moduel and encoders.Try pulling the atc or tranfer case fuse in the under hood box,then put the truck in neutral and roll it back a bit and see if it will shift.

You have a part failure then and most likly its the encoder,get the code read out of it to make sure
