Hi, I will do my best to assist you. When you are finished please click on accept. I don't get paid unless you do. I don't know if you are a pro or a novice so we may have to fine tune the answer. I only know as much about your problem as you have told me in your post, so my answer will be based on what you have posted. Feel free to add any additional info you feel is needed.

Jim for some reason these dash lights are bad about burning out. They take a special bulb. #74 bulbs sold at auto parts stores will fit, but it is a tight fit, and they will eliminate the problem. Check to see if you have tail lights, I believe they are on the same fuse as the dash lights. You could also have other problems in the wiring, like a bad power or ground wires to the lights. It would be a good idea to get a repair manual at the auto parts store to show the wiring, and the procedure to pull the instrument panel to replace the bulbs if necessary. If you have any more questions I am here to help. Good luck, and Thanks for using Just Answer.

I hope this helps, 100% satisfaction is my goal. If the answer is not clear, please reply and I will assist you more. When you're satisfied, click on accept. I don't get paid unless you do. A bonus and positive feedback are always appreciated, good luck and Thanks.

The tail lights and break light work. I have been told there are more that one bulb, if true, I doubt all the bulbs would burn out at the same time? What do you think about removing the dimmer/brightness wheel to see if there is any power there?

Accepted Answer

Yes that would be a good place to check. These bulbs have a real small filament, and for some reason I have seen them burn out a lot on the MPV. On most vehicles you will not see group failures of bulbs, but I have seen this problem on this model more than once. I attribute it to possible sensitivity to slightly more voltage spikes than what is considered to be normal, from the voltage regulator on this system. With these problems you never know what the issue is for sure, until you locate it so keep an open mind. I wouldn't rule out bulb failure. Also check and make sure the bulbs ground circuit is good. If the ground is bad, and the bulbs are good with power to them they still will not work. Good luck with it, and Thanks for using Just Answer.
