I HAVE A 1997 OLDS CUTLASS SUPREME AND NO MANUAL. mY TAIL LIGHTS WORK WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ON, BUT WHEN STEPPING ON THE BRAKE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS, INCLUDING THE THIRD (CENTER) BREAK LIGHTS DO NOT WORK. i SUSPECT IT IS A FUSE ISSUE BUT CAN NOT DETERMINE WHICH FUSE OR FUSEBOX NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AS i DO NOT HAVE THE OWNERS MANUAL. cAN YOU HELP ME?

Fuse 23 in the instrument panel fuse box is for the brake lights, if that is good the problem is most likely the brake switch.

Thanks for the reply, but where is the instrument panel fuse box. it appears there are two fuse boxes in the engine compartment without very good labels

I believe the instrument panel fuse box is on the right side of the dash where the door and the dash come together (the right door will need to be open to access the fuse box)
