Info Request

Do you have a picture of the plant that you can post?

no pictures but it is old. It has pod like leaves which are thick. Kind of like a thick wavy pea pod that grows on a vine. There was a flower on it and my father thinks its part of the succelant family or cactus family. He said the flower had lots of colors in it and it looked fake but it wasn't. The vine that it is on is thick about a 1/4 inch. This whole thing is a couple feet long.

Answer

Thanks for the additional information.

Without a picture to go off of, this is purely a shot in the dark. The hyacinth vine grows thick wavy pea pods and is flowering as well. Attached is a link to a hyacinth bean photo.

No, that is not it. The whole long vine is just these light green pods all the way down it. Imagine this several foot long 1/4 inch vine with nothing but these pods spaced about 3/4 inch all the way down it.

Answer

Okay, I found a plant called a Burro's Tail that is similar to what you are describing. Let me know if I am on the right track!

You are getting really close but someone else helped me find what it was. It is a Hoya Hindu Rope Plant. I am impressed with what you came up with cause that is where we started looking at the burro's tail. I am pleased with your help considering you had just my description to go by.You were persistant enough and did good. Thank you for all your help!
