I have not tried anything other than charging the battery. I did not want to creat any problems with the carburators.

Accepted Answer

Hello,

The first thing that needs done is if there is any gas or oil in the tanks drain them both and put fresh oil and gas back into the ski, clean the fuel filter and remove the spark plugs and put a little bit of oil into the cylinders and replace the spark plugs, then see if it fires up, if the battery has been sitting for 2 years unused then you will also need to replace it as well.

thanks,

Joe

How can I run the ski out of water?
Will the carbs need work?
Should I use pre mix with an older Ski, A suggestion made to me by a friend.

Accepted Answer

The carbs may need to be pulled apart and cleaned but I was trying to get the engine running first to see how they where.

To run the ski out of the water there should be a flush kit installed by the rear of the ski by the jetpump and if not then inside the engine bay, if you do not see any hose hookup then you may need to buy a hose/flush kit for it, a freindly tip, you can run the ski without water for a few secs to make sure it runs, I always do so on the trailer before I put it in the water to make sure there are no problems.
