I'm looking for help creating a macro that will extract just the email address from a list of names, emails, and other characters -- something that will strip away anything that is not the email (examples: First Last <XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX>
or "First Last " <XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX>)

Any help will be most appreciated! Thanks!

I have done manual search and replaces using MS Word, takes hours. And I have manually stripped the extra characters by hand, getting exhausted with the repetative keystrokes!

I usually use MS Word, would it be different in excel?

Yes, because you will be dealing with cells instead of blocks of text, where cell formulas can be used. If it is a one time operation it should not matter to you, but if you want to run the macro on other files as well then you will need to have a macro written in Word, in which case I will opt out so that other experts can have a shot at it.

Thanks, yes, this is an operation I run on new lists (new files) about once a month. So I would need to have a way to keep doing it (have the code saved or something?). Doing it in Excel would work, but I will need to repeat the operation.
