i put fuel system cleaner in my 89 s10 4.3l cause i thought it would be a good idea now i have to feather the gas to accelerate it cruises at 55 to 75 mph fine i have to shift to neutral to keep running when slowing down replaced plugs and feul filter fuel in filter was black n nasty also took apart injector carb and sprayed all passages n stuff with cleaner didnt help any ideas

You really have to watch what you put into your vehicle there are alot of items on the market that claim to clean your fuel system. The problem is it cleans everything. More than likely the fuel injector is partially plugged. Dealers have a tool that will hook up to your injector and pulse it like it would if the computer was operating it. They then can run a solvent through the injector to clean it out. There are sonetimes when there is nothing that can be done. The sludge is so thick it never cleans it out.

So if I just replace my whole carb at the junkyard that would be my easiest bet?

That should do it as long as it is off of a running vehicle. If the vehicle is not running you have no clue if that one has a problem or not.
