Hello and welcome to Just Answer. Can you tell me what year and model of Chevy you are asking about? Do you hear any noises when attempting to start the engine?

Ok. Thank You for the info. The first thing to check is going to be the battery connections. Make sure your battery connections are clean and tight. If your connections a re clean and tight, then I would suspect the battery is failing or discharged. If you have a charger then you could charge the battery. If you don't have a battery charger then you could try jump-starting the vehicle. If the engine starts make sure and take it directly to a place that can test and replace your battery if needed. It sounds like the battery is failing and no longer has the cranking amperage capacity needed to start the engine.
