Question

Can you add anything to this? (Psychoanalytic theory) Here is what I wrote according to m understanding.

Psychoanalytic Theory to me best explains crime because it speak to unconscious and conscious mind. It explains that because a person may learn and develop a behavior it may be repressed. Freud believed that some influences and can learned without the person realizing it in their development. I can understand this theory only because of what I see with young people today. Last year I heard a family having a party outside and there were plenty of children there. The family was playing loud rap music with adult language. The children were singing the songs in verbatim. The music dealt with sex, drugs and violence. When I heard this going on I said to myself how is this going to affect the children as they grow up. These same children are the offspring of parents who known for violent behaviors in the past or some sort of drug dealing. Now the behaviors are being past on to the childr

Hi, I've corrected what you have. It was cut off where I ended it - when I send this back to you, if there is more that you've written in the meantime, I'll send it. Nancy :-)

Psychoanalytic Theory to me best explains crime because it speaks to both the conscious and unconscious mind. It posits that just because a person may learn something or develop a behavior it may actually be repressed. Last year there was a family having a party outside. There were many children there. The family was playing rap music with adult language very loudly. The children were singing the songs verbatim. The music dealt with sex, drugs and violence. When I saw this going on I asked myself, "how is this going to affect the children as they grow up". The children are now experiencing unconsciously a learned behavior of violence and drugs. Its no wonder sexual behaviors among the youth become more and more of a problem with the youth generation after generation.

Hi, I've corrected the other information you sent too. How is this?

Psychoanalytic Theory to me best explains crime because it speaks to both the conscious and unconscious mind.
