are there any lawn care specialist online?? if so my question is how to you maintain SOD. My friend had sod put down about 2 years ago. The sod right now is somewhat brownish more than green. Probably due to the lack of water. Can you had grass seeds to sod and what type of fertilizer would i use?

Having a healthy lawn is dependent upon proper fertilization and watering. Another important aspect is weed and insect control. Having a sprinkler system timed to water the lawn daily is the first step. Most sprinkler systems will come with a rain sensor that will override the timer. Fertilization should be done approx. once in the spring and again mid summer. The type of fertilization is dependent upon the type of sod you have. Having a lawn maintenance company spray the lawn with an insecticide and herbicide will also be beneficial. This will prevent damage from insects and weeds as well.
