State/Country of Question: North Carolina

Accepted Answer

Yes the roommate does have a right to remove his/her property. Notice must be provided to that roommate to remove the property or it will be disposed. If you can prove the property was disposed by dog feces and it was not your dog and you didn't do anything to expose the property to the dog, then you may prevail in court.

The dog belonged to the roomate. What rights does the roomate have not having a lease? Is he entitled to the same rights as the tenant who does have a lease?
