Robert, I did what you said to do with the battery cables. It did not solve the problem. The check engine light came on immediately after I put the cables back on. Could I possibly have a short? Thanks !

Go back to using regular unleaded. Using high test fuel has been known to cause this problem due to the adiitional additives in the fuel that clean your injectors. Reseting your system should solve the problem.

Another possibility is Your gas cap isn't on tight enough.
