My Fisher and paykal double dishwasher upper drawer is showing signs of motor not working.
There is a wrench sign with F2 written on it.
It was working untill my wife cleaned it. I have very carefully refitted everybit to perfection it still shows F2 sign and not working.

Answer

F2 means machine is sensing rotor not turning. IF rotor spins by hand then problem is with either the controller,the 'motor', or the hall sensor that senses rotation. This can even be caused by a bad connection- check all for signs of burning or corrosion. Swap control out from working drawer and see if it resolves the issue. There is no way to test these componets to 100% accuracy- best to swap parts that you know work to find the issue at hand.

These units are easy to take apart, but telling you every little thing to do to disassemble it is beyond what I would be willing to do in answering your posted question.

I have done all this but it has not solved the problem

<p>You have to be overlooking something. Possible more than one part has failed, so if you are putting one good part on then putting back the old one when that made no difference then that may be the issue with determining what is bad.</p>
