Scenario:
I select "normal" as usual, and hear the water filling the tub and then stops.
I'm left with a tub full of hot water.
To drain that water, I disconnected it below the machine by loosening the band-clamp and quickly scooping it in baking pans.
The "normal" sounds the maching used to make (water filling, pumping and splashing) seem to stop after the water filling. It "clicks" at that point...like it's trying to pump and cycle, but can't seem to do it.
If that's not clear, let me know.
thanks,
chris

Thanks Russ,
I was afraid that might be the case. However, I don't know, and therefore cannot trust a "tech" out of the yellow pages, unless you have a suggestion.
My guess is that a minimum charge for that looksee would be $100 or more, right?
I'm a licensed builder and pretty handy, but, as Clint Eastwood said "A man has to know his limitations," so fixing a bad motor is likely out of my pay grade, but $$$ is tight right now.
Could I buy and install a new motor? I've done it on cars, motorcycles and lawnmowers...?
Russ,
I can look around for a deal on a new unit. I'm inclined to go with a Kitchenaid again, this is the second KA in 25 years, though I don't know who's making them now, they used to be man'fd by Hobart as I recall.
Your thoughts on a brand? I'm NOT going to spend $1000+ on a Bosch...just can't do it...I'm in Detroit...30% unemployment...my constructiong business is on life support.
So if I click "accept" on this, you will be paid $25, is that how it works? And after that, are we officially done with his communication?
thanks again,
Chris
