Question

I have had Follicitus for several months and I have been to my GP twice and he put me on antibiotics but it didn't get rid of the rashes completely and they came back just as bad. I've also tried Epson salt baths and antibacterial soaps but they are only partially helpful. Is there any home remedy or over the counter product I can use that will help?

It can be caused due to following factors -

You can apply OTC antibiotic ointment or cream such as bacitracin,Polysporin, clindamycin, erythromycin, or mupirocin (Bactroban).
You may also use an antiseptic cleanser(Betadine or chlorhexidine)
If your infection is caused by a fungus, you will need to take antifungal pills.

You can also take self care measures as well.

I suggest you to consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and management.
I hope this helps.
