Question

Would I be able to get an idea of what it would cost to do a metal roof for a ranch style home with a 48 ft long roof - 16 ft wide - a few dips in it.....I have been quoted - but, seems very high....Thank you, Carla

I am not sure what type of metal roof....I know the color is slate and it was some that someone had ordered and then decided not to take that color....this is from a friend of ours that knows someone....the roof from the peak to the front is 16 ft as from the peak to the back.... probably not much help...huh...

Pricing will vary greatly by where you live and the difficulty of the installation. Without a lot of information to go off of I can give you a very rough idea of what the roof may cost.

From the measurements you gave me I figure that your roof is approximately 16 squares. A square is equal to 100 square feet of roof. A fairly simple installation would average approximately $750.00 per square of metal roofing.

Doing the math: 750.00 x 16 squares = $12,000

Depending upon what type of metal roof and a multitude of other variables the price could be higher.

Well the metal roof was $2550 and the someone wanted $3300 to put it on.... if that good?

Seems like a fair price for a new metal roof including materials and labor. You are apparently getting a deal on the materials because it is a previously canceled order.
