Question

Installing hardwood floor. Concern is height differnce between the floor and bull nose piece at top of main staircase. Floor is lower, about 1/16 inch, concerned about someone tripping and falling down the stairs. What to do?

Hello Stephen .. I would sand down the bullnose so that is is even with the new floor .. I think replacing it would be more troublesome ... you could use a power sander .. place a scrap piece of your flooring upside-down next gto the bullnose so you can be sure to get the right level with the flooring .. then with the sander blend the new top edge to the front to make a smooth transition .. any thoughts, questions, please get back to me
