Info Request

Hello,

Some additional information will help me to answer your question.

Exactly how old is your rabbit?

What do you mean by "she runs off course?"

When this happens, does she jump a little bit before running again?

Is her head tilted to one side, even when she's resting?

Does she lose her balance or run in circles?

How long has this been occurring?

Is your rabbit eating well?

Thank you.

Thank you for getting back to me. I suspect that what you're seeing is normal rabbit play behavior. They don't run in straight lines, but will stop, shake their heads, twitch their skin, jump in the air, kick out the hind legs, or scratch, and then switch directions.

To determine if your rabbit has a health problem, there are certain things to watch for. Any time a rabbit quits eating for more than a few hours, that is an emergency, and you must see a vet right away. Other signs of illness or parasites include runny/mushy droppings, discharge from the nose or eyes, sneezing/coughing, failure to pass droppings, head tilted to one side, falling to one side or constantly turning in circles, wetness on the chin, swelling anywhere on the body, fur loss, skin irritation or flakiness, excessive scratching, and lethargy.

If this is your first rabbit, I recommend that you go to the following site and read all about rabbit care and health:
