Can a 1977 35 hp johnson ob be converted from wheel steering to tiller steering? I want to keep the electric start.

Hello Boggs,

Yes you can convert to tiller steering. Below is the diagram of the motor. you need a different steering bracket to accommodate the tiller handle. item 80 and 94.

It is a bit of work but can be done.
