Question

When a company does a QA (Quality Assurance check) must they follow the written policies/procedures guide to complete the QA or can they follow other rules that are vague and not in the policies/procedures guide.

Already Tried:
responded to the QA pointing out that I was following procedure that is in the Knowledge Base (K-base) that we are provided online. I cut and pasted the relevant area's from K-base to response - the individual that did the QA responded that I had quoted K-base but that I would still get marked down even though my "transgression" was not in K-base.

I am a computer Help Desk Technician with a company called Alpine Access which is an At Home Call Center. I assist the client agents with computer problems over the phone and through a chat room. I am a part-time employee. no contract was signed.

Hello,

When there is a policies/procedures guide, the employer must typically follow that guide. However, there is nothing to prevent the employer from changing the guide at any time or from discharging you unless he does so based upon a reason prohibited by law.


Federal laws prohibit employment discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, and disability.

If you think there is discrimination based upon one of these factors, you may have a claim.. If not, the employer is free to discharge you or change the rules.
