Question

I am pouring a 16 x 16 concrete patio, I wanted to put pavers into the concret and make a design, is this possible?

Hi and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.
Yes it is possible. After screeding and rough troweling set your pavers by wiggeling them into the concrete. Re-rough trowel. If the pattern has pavers abutting one another, at the finish troweling stage pull the grout lines clear of concrete to accept grout later. It will be a delicate thing to finish trowel the pour AND wipe the pavers clean with a clean damp sponge. The troweling will mess onto the tiles, the sponge will mess the troweled surface. Covering the pavers somehow before placement- plastic and duct tape - bread dough that can be powerwashed off later ?- would help considerably. If a paver ever becomes damaged and needs replacement you will have to cut it out and excavate it- so save a few extras for a future matching repair.
