i have a 20ft pontoon ,would like a transom mount ,i could use anywhere on board&how many lbs of thrust would i need.i was thinking maybe 80

not much out board too hard to use when loading or moving a short distance

That would be more then enough for most of the time. Problem with a pontoon is if the wind is blowing you will have a hard time with any trolling motor. I usually install the 54# thrust model.
