Question

I am building a new house and have just finished the insulation process this past friday. The company that put the insulation in did a good job however some things caught my attention.
For example in my master bedroom my celing is only about 80% insulated. now my house is a 2 story home and when I asked the insulation company about this they said the reason that my ceiling was missing insulation in that particular area is becaus right above that is a heated space on the second story. They said there was no reason to insulate a heated space from a heated space on the second story. Again they have done a good job at insulating the celings, walls and floors of all the HEATED spaced rooms...but it was odd to see my ceiling with about 80% of it insulated and then there is a bare spot that has no insulation. There reasoning was because on the other side of that spot is a heated room and that room ceiling has insulation?

My question is this the correct way to insulate, should I be worried

The insulation company is correct in their explanation. Basically their answers reflect the same concept of why "interior walls" are not insulated. Additional FYI it is a natural and scientific pact that warm air will always move to cold air. This is he phenomena of "passive heat." Like a sun room or porch with tile floors will collect heat during the day and that heat will be released in the evening to other parts of the house

I will accept your answer thank you!

Just to make sure I understand 100% standing in the bottom story master bedroom looking up you see insulation on the ceiling. The reason behind this is because on the other side of that ceiling ( the 2nd story) that particular area on the other side is attack space that is NOT heated. So the insulation on the bottom story keeps heat out of the un-insulated attic correct?

Then when you are looking at my master bedroom ceiling on the 1st floor you see areas that ARE NOT insulated (opposite of the above example). The reason the areas of my master bedroom ceiling ARE NOT insulated is because directly on the other side of that ceiling ( the 2nd story) is a heated room or bedroom that then has a INSULATED ceiling in that room.

So am I understanding it correctly???

And also long story short I don't have to worry about anything with the insulation company right? It sounds like they did it correctly?

Thanks for your patience and I will accept upon your next answer.
