Hello Pat, thank you for using JustAnswer.com. My name is Dale and I can help with your questions.
Decal Removal: There are two methods I use that work. The most reliable is to use an electric heat gun and a plastic drywall compound knife. I don't recommend trying to use a hair dryer. It won't generate enough heat and will probably burn out from the use. You should be able to find a heat gun at Menards, The Home Depot or Lowes.
Heat the decal with the heat gun at low setting and use the plastic compound knife to scrape the decal off. The adhesive that remains can be removed with a remover such as Goof Off or Goo Gone, then polish to blend in the previously covered areas.
A second method is to spray the decals with spray & wash and let it soak. My issue with this is the streaks left behind when the excess solution drips down the side of the wall.
Finding exact decals will probably be next to impossible. A better solution would be to contact a company that specializes in vehicle graphics and signs. Most listings can be found in your yellow pages under the "signs" category.
The process is time consuming, but worth it.
Please let me know if I can clarify anything for you.
I appreciate the opportunity to assist.
Sincerely,
Dale Woodward
