Question
I have a 2007 Ford Expedition and the air conditioning/heating system goes haywire at what seems like random times. It will cut on full blast all by itself and all of the controls do not work with the exception of the off button. The only way to stop it is to turn the car off and then back on, at which time, the system goes back to acting normally.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sean

Answer
Hello. The problem you are having is likely a fault in the climate control head. On the control head push off and defrost at the same time, then recirculate button within 2 seconds. The head will go into self test. If any numbers are flashed at the end of this test, let me know what they are.
