Question

Hi,
My 2000 Ford Focus blows out hot air for 1-2 minutes when the air conditioner is on then the air chills for 5-7 minutes then hot air again then the air chills....and it keeps going on this way.

please advise

Answer

Providing your compressor clutch is funtioning properly, you need to have the pressures and level of R134a checked. Either the system is low or you have a lazy pressure cycling switch that doesn't allow the clutch to engagae.
