Question

1998 Ford Mustang AC not working. It's too hot in Seattle today. AC clutch is not activating. Could it be the low presssure switch? Where is the low pressure switch located and how do I bypass it? I checked AC the fuse and it is OK. I have a can of refrigerant with a pressure guage attached and have located the low pressure valve with the black top. Pressure on the system is about 15 to 20 lbs.

Answer

This should help. The switch once unplugged can be bypassed with a jumper or paperclip. It is located in the suction line prior to the low side port.
