Hello and thank you for using just answer.
Can you elaborate on your question or tell me what exactly is going on with your car here so that I can better answer your questions please?

My engine has failed and according to my mechanic the failure is due to oil gel. He told me that my fuel injector needed cleaning and my antifreeze needed replacing along with the spark plugs and a transmission flush and I was wondering if the oil gel could have caused it.

Thank you for the reply.
Is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
By "engine has failed"......what do you mean? Did the engine fail an emission inspection or what exactly prompted your visit to the mechanic?

it is a 4 cyclinder and he said it had oil gel and that caused the oil pump to quit and the rod to make a hole in the engine

ok, I'm a little confused here, can you give me a DETAILED statement of what you need from me here?
Are you having the engine replaced or is this mechanic saying that replacing the plugs and fluids is going to take care of this?

I am having the engine replaced, but the mechanic says that the car needs this other stuff as well which just costs more money. I maintain my vehicle and have had all the scheduled maintenance including the 30,000 mile extra stuff. I need to know if these extra things he says I need could possibly be caused by the oil gel because if so, I will have it done, but if not, I will just follow the regular maintenance program as I always have.

Ok, I'm with you now.
No Oil gelling does not cause issues with injectors.
When replaing the engine YES I recommend installing new spark plugs unless you recently had the plugs replaced, if that is the case then you can just switch the plugs over from the old engine into the one you are installing.
Anti-freeze: this will have to be drained when replacing the engine and there is no way to keep it contamination free, this should already be included in the engine price and around $20 for fluid.
A transmission fluid flush is not related to the engine, just follow the normal service schedule on this one, you need to service that system every 30,000 miles but with a blown engine I would not even start to worry about yet until the engine is completed.
