my cat has flu like symptoms ,he sounds like his nose is stufed up ,he looks like he has scrathcy throat.Is it the cold or some thing more .

I am sorry your kitty is having trouble.

 

What symptoms are you seeing exactly (coughing, sneezing, runny eyes and nose)?

 

Does your kitty go outside?

it looks like he is trying to clear his throat,and his nose ,so it looks like he is coughing and sneezing,also i forgot to tell you that he is diebetic, he was diognost in October and he is taking issulin shots twice a day.

Thanks for the additional information. Diabetic cats are notoriously prone to seconday bacterial infections, like urinary tract infections, dental infections or upper respiratory infections. It sounds like your kitty may have a upper respiratory infection, which may need to be treated with antibiotics. It is also possible that your kitty has something else going on, because coughing can indicate more serious conditions that involve the heart. The best thing to do would be to have your kitty seen by his vet as soon as you can. Diabetes is a complicated illness at times, and recovery from other illnesses often takes a lot longer than it would in a kitty that is not diabetic. Starting treatment early will be helpful in getting him over this problem as quickly as possible. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
