Dr. Marie:
I have a 15year old calico cat who sleeps alot, doesn't eat much, has quite a few episodes of ashmatic coughing like she is trying to catch her breath. She throws up quite a bit also. Obviously she has lost alot of weight, is quite thin, and I'm not quite sure if she is suffering or not. She is still peeing and pooping in her box. She is strictly indoors with no claws.
I don't know what to do...if I should put her down or not. I don't want to spend alot of money on drugs, therapies, etc. because she is 15. Please advise what you would do. I know you are in the business of treating all animals regardless of age but I need help with this.
