Question

I have a 1998 Damon Ultrasport motorhome with a big problem. The drivers seat has cut the wire which in turn has shorted out most of the electrical systems, have there been any recall on the way the seat was designed which caused the cutting of the wire.

I have searched for any recalls and only 2 come up and they do not involve the driver's seat. I also checked for any service bulletins,which the manufacturer comes out with for product improvements and nothing for the seat came up for that. I have seen a similar issue in a country coach around the same time frame and what happened was the auto fuse did not do it's job and melted the fuse distribution box. At this point with NO recalls you will have to pay the cost of the repair and the wire that caused the problem should be able to be routed so it will not occur again.
