Have you already checked the wiring to it?

And how did you test it to be sure it was bad?

hello mec. this watercraft is 2004 and only about 14 hrs on it i had noticed when i put the key in it it beeps.and the speedo reads sensor. the little red light comes on on the right side bottom of speedo i checked all fueses and there fine i unplugged all harness and plugged back in. this watercraft runs great.on the rightside of speedo is for vts and it blank.
i will not take your answer and not pay i am not that kind of person thanks for your help

If you select page 301 to view on that site that will be page 293-294 and will explain the entire vts system to you and how to test it.

you can pull the cover to access the vts motor and see if it is rusty inside as the boot on the shaft is known to go bad and it will allow water to enter it.
