I just switched from taking Wellbrutin SR 150 mg twice a day to Wellbrutin XL 300 mg once a day and I am feeling very tired and have an upset stomach. I also take clonezapam .5 mg twice a day and .25 mg twice a day and losec 20 mg twice a day and gabapentin 3/600 mg at bedtime. I have been taking these for almost three years and I can't seem to reduce without getting anxiety. Is there a better combination or am I just stuck taking these forever?

Three years ago my GP put me on various antidepressants which I had many side effects to Effexor, Celexa and he put me on Paxil and I was doing fine but my psychiatrist took me off and put me on the wellbrutin sr and the other medication. In the beginning every few months I had to keep going up on the dosage. Last Sept I tried to reduce the clonezpam and was doing well until the spring when I tried to go back to work and now I am not working again and I am not sure if I will ever be able to go back to work. I am also menopausal

Medication can help calm your symptoms. There is no need to think less of yourself if you take a medication.Welbrutin is under Serotonin-norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs).
Other then the wellbrutin,following are the anti anxiety mediactions: Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac, Serzone, Zoloft , Lexapro.Benzodiazepines are highly effective against panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder like Ativan, Centrax, Dalmane, Klonopin.Along with anti depressant medications you need psycho somatic therapy.Engage in mild activity or exercise.Set realistic goals for yourself.Think positive.Positive thinking will replace negative thoughts.So I advice you to consult psychiatrist for the best prescription medcations.

Should I switch back to my original twice a day wellbrutin or stay with the once a day and see if I start to feel better in a week or so?

As your doctor had switched you from Wellbrutin SR 150 mg twice a day to Wellbrutin XL 300 mg once a day,I advice you to dont change it by yourself. I advice you to consult psychiatrist who will do physical examination & will consider all the factors & will then give you the best prescription medcations

I can't get in to see my psychiatrist until October but I see my GP on Friday. Is it unusual for me to be tired and have the stomach pain from switching?

Abdominal pain, agitation, anxiety, constipation, diarrhea are common side effect of wellbutrin XL. You need to get it replaced. I advice you to consult your GP.
