Hello,

still having problems getting that rope out I see, do you think you would be ok pulling the jet pump and driveshaft yourself?
As that might prove to be easier.

Hey I just checked and the only pwc's that I cannot get pictures from is polaris, it is not that hard, the biggest part is seeing if it has like a carbon ring with a metal collar in front of it ( this would be where the driveshaft exits the hull on the inside) a rubber boot, and then in front of it a collar? if so pull the collar back and there will be a clip you can remove other then that the pump is all just nuts and bolts. I cannot help with exact details on this because I do not have any experiance with polaris water craft, I can diagnose a problem and fix it but I do not know exactly how to get that one apart, I can try searching online for you, but think I would be better opt-ing outand see if someone else can give you exact details on your ski, it is very easy to pull a jet pump off a ski, once you do it once you will remember.

so if i take the prop off, then pull out the drive shaft, the rope will just unwind?

Answer

No, I would not do it that way because you will need an impeller removal tool, if you pull the jetpump and driveshaft together as one you will not need any speciality tools.
