i need to add the navigation chip to my bmw 525i 2007, by the way i have the screen already

Hi, there really is no chip that can be added to make navigation work.
There are 2 different radio modules that are available, one is called the MASK, which you likely have. This is only a radio/cd player, and then there is the CCC (car communication computer). This module has a DVD drive, and a CD drive in the area where you only have one drive. This module, and some antenna wires are needed for Nav to work.
But BMW doesn't retrofit vehicles with Nav that didn't already have it, so there are no instructions or support available.

It's really not something that can easily be swapped into place, it will require special programming and modifications to the vehicle that are beyond the scope of most people, short of BMW engineers. BMW also uses enabling codes during programming, so the CCC from one vehicle can't be stolen and used in another.
You are better off getting an aftermarket nav, or a different vehicle with nav.

how can i look for an after market nav, and where to look, and do you mean portable one or the one i need to install on the dashboard???

I was refering to one that mounts on the windshield, there really is no aftermarket in dash kits for your 525i. Since the radio is an integral part of the vehicle, all the gongs, and warnings, and displays go through the Stock MASK head unit. So if you take it out, you will be losing all those functions, and void your warranty.
