Question

Im running a dedicated Server and am having difficulties setting up my main DNS. What does it have to look like and what do i need?

<domain>.     NS     ns.<domain>.
<domain>.     A     <ip>
<domain>.     MX (10)     mail.<domain>.
<ip> / 24     PTR     <domain>.
ftp.<domain>.     CNAME     <domain>.
mail.<domain>.     A     <ip>

Hi Andy...setting up the DNS entry depends on exactly what this server is doing....here is a great site for explainging how to set up your MX records, A records, CNAME, etc..if needed....
