Question

I have a PC not a Mac. Recently when I turn on my computer I get an error message stating that a file named ApplesyncNotifier.exe is not on my computer. When I click on the message I further investigated that this file is associate with another called corefoundation.dll. I wish to eliminate apple files on my pc because I don't use an iphone or an ipod or itunes. I think these two files are corrupt as well.

Info Request

Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer~!~Smile

My name is Ryan and I would like to assist you with your question today. Could you please tell me is your computer running windows xp or windows vista?

Here is a little info about Applesyncnotifier.exe, once you tell me your version of windows I can help you to remove it.

Applesyncnotifier.exe is a AppleSyncNotifier belonging to MobileMe from Apple Inc. Now that the iPhone 2.0 is available iTunes is adding a new “MobileMe” file called Apple Sync Notifier. This file installs with iTunes and is used when syncing your iPhone, iTouch, iPod, etc.

4) Scroll through the list of program and look for "Apple Mobile Device Support" it might have an icon like the following:

My icon does not look like yours. Mine shows clouds on a blue background. When I try to remove the file from my control panel it tells me I can't remove it for some reason which I have forgotten. Something about looking at the registry or some other place.

The message reads: "The feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." MobileMe.msi can't be found.

Just got another message that I need to install itunes to my computer in order to use MobileMe....crazy and frustrating especially since I uninstalled itunes already.

Alright if that isn't allowing you to uninstall the program then we will have to use a 3rd party too instead of the regular add/remove programs utility. We will use a utility called Windows Installer Cleanup utility.

You must be logged on to Windows with a user account that is a computer administrator to run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

You can download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from the link below:
http://mytinyurl.net/440d33
When you use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, you can perform the following functions:
  • Select one or more programs that were installed by Windows Installer from the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box.

To do this, select the programs that you want in the Installed Products list in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box. After you make this selection, the utility removes only Windows Installer configuration information that is related to those programs.
  • Remove all Windows Installer information associated with the selected programs. This includes the entries for the programs in the Add Or Remove Programs item in Control Panel. Be aware that only the Installer information for that particular program is removed, not the files.
After you have downloaded an ran the utility then do the following:

1) Click start
2) Click my computer click on Local Disk C:/
3) Click on Program Files
4) Click on Common Files
5) Click on Apple
6) Click on Mobile Device Support
7) Delete Mobile Device Support if it's still there.
