Hello,
This is a serious concern.
If your vet is not treating this problem and simply has no idea what is going on, you need a new vet or even an internal medicine specialist, and right away.
104.0 is definitely a fever. This could be a reaction to a drug that was administered, or could even be a surgical complication, or infection inside the belly.

Absolutely, your pet needs to get into a vet ASAP for treatment.

Again, my greatest concerns are a reaction, surgical complication, or infection inside the belly.
Definitely, worth examination today (ER vet if you have to)

Good Luck
