Hiya,
Can you post the full model number of the appliance please?
If you can also post the product number (PNC) that would be better.
Prefix the pnc with A to prevent it being crossed out.
Thanks
The model number gives me 15 variations of the appliance.
If you open the door there should be a label with the PNC beginning with 9.
Prefix it with A and it will identify the machine , if there are 2 numbers after the pnc, include these too.
OK, thanks for that.
Press and hold the start/pause and skip reset buttons together.
Whilst holding them, switch on.
The appliance will beep or flash, let go of the buttons.
The leds will now scroll.
Press and release the temperature button until you get the 2nd bottom led of the 2nd column lit.
You will now have an error code displayed. Let me have the error code.
If you don't have a time display, the column of leds on the right will be flashing. Number them with 1 at the top and let me know which numbers are flashing.
Now, switch off, switch on and switch off again.
E52 indicates a motor fault. There is no signal from the tachometer.
The service manual states ; Motor; tachometric generator; wiring; main PCB as the possible cause of the fault.
I'd suggest you check the carbon brushes in the motor and if they have worn or broken, replace them.
If they are ok you are looking at a possible motor fault and/or main control board.

The pcb would also have to be configured to the appliance before it would work.
It might be worthwhile calling Domestic and General for a price on a repair and 1 year extended warranty. www.domgen.com will get you the details and phone number.
Hope this is of some help.
Let me know how it goes.
