Hiya,
Switch the appliance on and once it's initialise press the start/pause and skip reset buttons together.
Initially the leds will go off then it will display an error code to you.
Let me have the error code.
If you don't have a time display window the 8 leds on the right will flash an error code.
Number the lights with 1 at the top and let me know which numbers are flashing.
Thanks
Thanks for that.
E36 indicates the sensing circuit on anti-boiling pressure switch 1 is defective.
Unfortunately the service manual only lists one item as the possible cause - Main board defective.
Unplug the appliance and take the top off the appliance.
The main board should be at the front right of the appliance hanging downward.
Unplug every plug, one at a time, and plug them back in.
Locate the pressure switch(es) (you can identify them by the thin tube attached to them) and unplug these and plug them back in.
Try the machine again.
This is just to ensure it's not a dirty connection causing the problem.
If still faulty then it would appear that the main control board is the most likely part causing the fault.
The main board would require an engineer to programme it but you'll get an idea of the cost of the board from the link. (enquire with the retailer to see if there is a pre configured board)
Click here for the main board
I'd also suggest you consider getting a price from Domestic and General for a price on a repair and 1 year extended warranty. www.domgen.com will get you the details and price.
Hope this helps
Let me know how it goes.
If it's working intermittently I'd suggest checking the wiring and plugs now.
If you continue using it and it turns out that it was only a slack connection then this could arc and burn. You would then be faced with a parts bill rather than tightening a plug.
Good luck with it.
